‘Feeling Essential at UPS’ an interview between Solo and Donny Brasco.

  1. Solo: “So COVID sucks, did you feel that working at UPS during quarantine was harder than normal?”

Donny: I didn’t really find it harder to work at UPS during quarantine. It was kind of like a regular kind of experience for me. Same old, same old, you know.

  1. “Did you ever feel like an essential worker or that you were needed?

Donny: I didn’t really feel like I was needed. Just because it was an essential job doesn’t mean I was still needed because I could still get fired and they could find a replacement. So there wasn’t necessarily a need for me to be there.

  1. “How important was that job during quarantine, not only for you but also for the people who just need their mail on time.”

Donny: It wasn’t really important to me, per say. It was more important to the people who I was working with to load packages on and off the truck.

  1. “Would you tell your children about this experience lol”

Donny: I definitely would tell my children about this experience. To shed a little light on, I guess, how important that job is to some people who worked there. I’ll just be honest with my kids and tell them it wasn’t really an important job to me because I have a different end goal than most, so yeah, pretty much.
